Brain Dump
8x8 acrylic on canvas by artist Janan Riley
I’m calling these “Doodle Bops.”
An exploration in freedom and play, I finally attempted abstract art and gave up, covered it and then convinced myself to try again. I’ve always doodled when taking notes. I’ve always filled my to do lists with random sharp lines, stars and dots. I’ve always outlined everything in thick layers of black. I figured it was about time I let myself express my artistic side without an end result in mind. A fun, new thing. You’ll have one of my first abstract pieces, I do not plan on stopping these anytime soon.
